What is
Unity?
|
|

Unity
is a link in the great educational movement inaugurated by Jesus
Christ; our objective is to discern the Truth in Christianity and prove
it.
The Truth that we teach is not new, neither do we claim special
revelations or discovery of new religious principles.
Our Purpose is to help and teach humankind to use and prove the eternal
Truth taught by the Master.
— Charles
Fillmore, founder of Unity

Unity’s Truth
Principles
|
|
1.
|
God is absolute
good, everywhere present.
|
|
2.
|
Human beings
have a spark of divinity within them; the Christ Spirit. Our essence is
of God, and therefore we are inherently good.
|
|
3.
|
Human beings
create their experiences through the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the earth realm began with thought.
|
|
4.
|
Prayer is
creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-Mind and
therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity and everything good.
|
|
5.
|
Knowing and
understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A
person must also live the Truth that he or she knows.

Our
Mission at Unity Center of Pittsburgh is to
Awake and Respond to the Christ Within.
|
Unity Center of Pittsburgh is a member of The Association of
Unity Churches (publishers of Daily Word), Unity Village, MO 64065.
|
|
“There are over 400 Unity churches in North America and
hundreds of churches and study groups worldwide which are joined
through the Association of Unity Churches. The purpose of this
organization, headquartered at Unity Village, located near Kansas City,
Missouri, is to support and serve these ministries and their ministers
as they seek to become a part of the spiritual awakening of our planet.
The path of this awakening lies with the individual. If you are
searching for inner peace, Unity may be your spiritual home. In the
unchartered region of life there is an awareness of a power greater
than ourselves. Take what you can apply to your life today and put
aside what does not seem practical at this time. For above all, the
Unity way of life must be practical.”
